{1st Birthday} Khendyl

Guess what baby girl just turned ONE??? Yep! You guessed it! My darling niece!  It feels like she was just born.  She's reminding us that she's not a baby anymore by doing things like walking, singing, laughing and playing. I am one lucky Auntie!

 Look at that tiny little duck tail!

{Class of 2012} Senior Pics

Can you believe my step-daughter just graduated from HIGH SCHOOL last week??? I know what you're thinking: "But Lenzi! You're so young!"  Well, you're right. ;)  Here are a few pics I was able to snap the night before graduation in all of her gear.  Have I mentioned I love Illinois' beautiful scenery?? I love all of the green!  I need to spend more time there with my camera.
Here she is! Our GRADUATE!

{jr. high basketball} Busy Busy Busy!

So here is what I've been SO BUSY with for the past few months: my son made the Jr. High Basketball team!  It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me.  I would cry out of happiness, frustration, excitement, anxiety, etc! We definitely learned a lot this first year of school ball.  I don't know how I'm going to handle it if he makes his high school team.  A whole gym full of kids boo-ing him makes me shudder. Thankfully we are a few years away from that.
Here are a few of my favorite shots this season.

Look at that DEFENSE! That poor kid didn't make it out of the corner.
 I warned him I was going to make an embarrassing sign with GLITTER for the first game.  I wasn't joking.  Turns out he & his teammates thought it was awesome and he wasn't one bit embarrassed.

Watts Family {2nd Round}

Did you think I fell off the planet??  Well, I've been BUSY with lots of things with my own family so photography for Thru My Lenz was put on hold for a while.  I'll post some pics showing you what I've been up to a little later this week.

The Watts family was one of my first families I photographed.  A few months ago we did another round of family pics.  Here are just a few of my favorites.
