{designing women} family photo shoot

Can you believe that I've known this family since I was born?? Yep. I actually have pics of me and Ash in the tub as toddlers. Blackmail, yes. Have I needed to use it yet? No. :) Now we each have a toddler: I have a boy & she has a girl. Let's just say they won't be re-enacting our tub pics...EVER. Check out their beautiful family!
Grandpa kept saying "No! Give us your SCARY smile!!!" This smile had us all cracking up! I've said it before & I'll say it again: toddlers do what they want. They truly don't care that it's "family photo time." I love it!!!
I love this picture of Makayla's mom, grandma & great-grandma begging & pleading with her to come sit in their Four Generations picture. The look on her face is PRICELESS!!
Jackson needed a little bit of tickling from dad to get real smiles to come out.

{mr. silly faces} Dawson's 1 year old shoot

The Jones' baby boy is turning one next week! He is so cute with his big brown eyes & tons of determination. I love it! Hope you love these Mama!!

{cougar-lovers} Jones' family photos

Mrs. Jones & I have been friends for over 10 years now. She's my gorgeous friend that will crazily pick herself apart in these pictures and the rest of us will secretly hate her for being so perfect. Look at them once, love them and walk away Mrs. Jones!! I lovingly showed up to their shoot wearing a bright red University of Utah shirt to get my BYU Cougar fans smiling. ;) Mommy Jones thinks like me about family photos: she wants her 1 year old baby boy to smile & laugh delightedly during family photos. Well, baby boy wanted to do what baby boy wanted to do! Despite the crazy wind & rain when we first started shooting and baby D doing what he wanted (even with Grandma doing everything in her power to get his attention & make him smile), the pictures turned out great! You look smokin' hot Joneses!

This first picture summed up what baby boy wanted to do & what Mommy didn't want him to do.... LOL!

The Gift of Photography

Want the perfect, inexpensive, personal going away/housewarming gift idea??? One of my close friends recently moved away from their first home. The only home their 4 year-old son has ever known. I wanted to do something extra special to capture this house. Pictures of each room just wasn't going to cut it.
Here's what I came up with:
Doesn't it look like art??? If you've lived in many different houses, wouldn't an entire photo collage be amazing??
I actually loved it so much I made one for myself!I think it's perfectly personal, classy & artistic! So after someone you know moves...sneak over to their old house....snap a picture of their street sign & house number.....convert to black & white and stick in a frame. Slap a bow on it and you're guaranteed to get love for being "so dang thoughtful!!!" ;)

{8 gorgeous} high school grads

What happens when you combine 8 gorgeous high school grads + Red Rock Canyon? MAGIC! I had a blast yesterday morning hiking around the canyon with these beautiful, outgoing, wild & crazy ladies. They are all going off to college (mostly in different directions) in just a couple of weeks and wanted to get some fun photos done all together. Thanks for choosing me ladies! Here are a FEW of my favs!!
A personal favorite: the Rebel & Wolfpack girls duking it out!! ;)
