{silliest} abby

Remember my friend that created my logo? Well she has an adorable daughter that I played with (while photographing, of course) this morning at a local SLC park. She was all smiles from the first moment we met! She wanted to play on the playground and didn't mind at all that I was running after her with my camera. In fact she encouraged some shots! "Hey Lenziiii!!!" while hanging from the bars. :) We were done in one short hour because I already had so many good pictures! Here you go Mom!

This is the negotiation face. She was negotiating how many more things she could do on the playground before they had to leave. She drives a hard bargain. However, could you tell that face "no more slides"??? Didn't think so. :)

{singer/songwriter} Melody Nash

Guess who got to photograph the next up & coming country star, Melody Nash??? THIS GIRL!!! I have known Melody for quite a few years now and she's finally just going for it. She & her family are packing up & moving to Nashville (hello, their last name is "Nash" they BELONG in Nashville!) to pursue her dream of being a country singer/songwriter. Her website has a few songs that you can listen to click here. I would like to go back in time & include "Idiocracy" on a mix tape for some lame boyfriend(s) I used to have. ;)
As you can see she's a knockout. Combine her looks & Fremont Street (old Vegas) for pictures and you KNOW we have some good stories! Guys were telling her to "work it!!", giving her advice, offering to slap her on the butt, etc. I even had to chase down a guy that snatched up her cowboy hat! I mistakenly set it on a parking meter behind us and we walked 5 feet away. Which I guess means "we don't want it". What a fun way to say goodbye, right?? I love you tons Melody Nash! I can't wait to buy your first cd, jam out to your songs on the radio & see you play your songs live on the big stage!!! I'm rooting for you girl!!

{desert} Tayler

Yesterday I shot my beautiful daughter in the dry, dusty Las Vegas desert. We had a fun time using her gorgeous homecoming dress again! *Selling points for daughters to use on their Mom regarding expensive homecoming dresses: "But MOM, I can wear it again in my Senior Photo Shoot! I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!" Sold! :) It was a great overcast morning and not insanely hot.....until about 30 minutes into the shoot. We were battling intense sunshine, watery, squinty eyes, a bug falling into her shirt (& meeting it's demise), and I was covered from head to toe in dirt. But get a load of the pictures we got!!
It's the craziest thing! You say "Be serious. Don't smile." and it makes her crack up almost every time!!

{j&h} golf shoot

Tagged along with my little brothers to the golf course a few nights ago. Other than the bugs, bad allergies, hitting my head on the golf cart and getting all dirty from laying on wet grass...it was a success! I am not cut out to golf. However, my little brothers love it. They didn't even get too annoyed as I "clicked" right next to them during intense moments of concentration. ;) Here are a few of my favorites:

Slowed my shutter speed way down & was able to capture the ball racing into the hole. Can you see it?

What man doesn't want a few awesome golf pics of themselves in their house??----secretly, of course. I'm ready to do another golf course shoot!! Just let me know your tee time....

{A&W} family shoot

I'm in SLC right now and was able to do a family photo shoot while in town. Lauri & I have known each other since I was about 5 years old. Her mom actually used to babysit me & my little brother! Fast-forward 25 years & she's got two darling blue-eyed boys of her own. I'm almost embarrassed at how many pictures I took...kind of an addiction I guess. ;) I had to narrow down my "narrowed down" list just to get some on the blog!! Here are just a few of the ones I loved:

Happy EARLY Birthday Lauri! Thanks for letting me spend the morning with your cute family!
